Taking the Activia Challenge

Happy Saturday my friends! I hope your Friday night was restful :) I know mine was. I went food shopping with the hubby, at our local store that's like Food4Less, but that's not it's name. Anywho! On with challenging ourselves. It's a new year and as with all New Year's resolutions that might be struggling to stay alive by the 2nd week, I thought I might take a different strategy with it. After going though some major food changes a couple of years ago, and moving from Sunny San Diego to Salt Lakc City, I have left some of my health mentors behind. and although they all taught me very well, I must now take take matters into my own hands. So, I've slipped a little, it started with adding some salt on to a salad, and took off a little here and there. I do still take my vitamins daily, but my pretty strict diet has taken a bit of a back seat to comfort food and a little of winter layering. So, rather than use phrases like " on a health kick" or other things that other things that sound like they have no definitive end in sight,  I've decided to challenge myself for X amount of days, and slowly get back to my better eating habits. Committing to do a few tasks a day for a set number of days, in small bite size doses, I though will help with the all or nothing attitude that at some point may or may not backfire. So for the next 12 days I'll be doing the Activia Challenge. Here's what Ive gathered on the challenge tasks so far; while shpooing I dound a package that at first glance seems to have all the product you need for the "2 week challenge" bit it has 12  servings, so there weill be more buying, as on the ourside of the wrapping it says to take it twice daily for two weeks, now according to that I only have a six day supply. However, on the inside of the packaging, it then says, that it should be taken twice daily for 4 weeks. No I am not certain about which plan is the one I in paticular should start on and stick with. At the start of it, I will do one a day. As there are Probioticsin it, and although those are great for digestion, I myself do know know how much my own belly can or should take in one day, also keeping in consideration of my other food intake for one day. So, for now I will take it as part of my breakfast and record the rest of my food intake for the next 2 weeks and just see how things go and progress. I am also giving up salt for those same 14 days, as much as that pains me to do ( I am such a salt lover) But, I will take a break to help with blood pressure and water retention. Mind you, that's not a current worry of mine, but it's a easy step in the right direction that has many benifits. So if you'd like to join me on this challenge ( and I hope you do) please let me know by leaving a comment of your choice so we can connect. I also need to add; this challenge is not being asked of me by Activia, this is just a personal goal that I am posing on myself and I am asking if you'd like to join me. OK, I should probably let you go do your thing. be well my friends, and I will see you on the next blog. Have a great day!
